Bumper Restoration
Bumpers are often heavy, bulky and demanding parts to restore nicely. We see them scratched, dented or pitted from gravel, sand, salt or careless drivers.
Our bumper team starts the process by stripping away all the old finish, rust, waxes, oils and other chemicals that might degrade the new surface.
Next, we straighten and and smooth out the bumper to recreate its original shape.
After the basic structure and surfaces meet our expectations, we metal finish and polish it out to achieve a very fine finish.
Next, we nickel plate it to create a strong chemical bond with the underlying steel, copper plate it for more depth and durability, then block sand it with a very fine abrasive.
Finally, we apply nickel plating again followed by a high quality chrome plating.
Archer Custom Chrome has years of experience with bumper repair and refinishing. We have the equipment and staff on site to carry out all phases of the restoration. Each step in the process is performed to the highest standard.
